How to RSVP for Poly Cocktails NYC

Hello, and thanks for your interest in attending Poly Cocktails in NYC!

Whether you’re a new attendee or an attendee who hasn’t missed many events over the last 18 years, you’ll note that we are month-to-month RSVP-only now. Between overcrowding and COVID-19, restarting this event in July 2022 required us to take steps to ensure we were both building community while also keeping our community safe.

For these reasons, attendees are required to:

  1. Be 21+ years of age with a valid ID. They do scan IDs at the door and they will turn you away if you don’t have ID handy. State ID (both driver’s license and non-driver’s ID) and passports are accepted.
  2. Be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations, as per the current CDC recommendations. If you need assistance in providing adequate proof, please email us and we’ll work with you.
  3. RSVP each month. Please see below for more on RSVPs.

Rapid COVID-19 Antigen Test

We ask every attendee to take a COVID-19 antigen test at home before each event, on the same day as the event. If you don’t have access to rapid antigen tests, you can utilize the mutual aid thread in either the Facebook invite or in the Meetup invite.

How to RSVP

  1. If you have Facebook and would like to be added to the “official” monthly invite, email us at polychrissy@gmail.com and we’ll get you linked. You’ll need to send your updated COVID-19 vaccination card to that email as well.
  2. We’re now on Meetup! This is the other way to RSVP. Join our private group: https://www.meetup.com/polycocktailsnyc/ and you’ll be added to the monthly. You’ll still need to send your COVID-19 vaccination card to the email polychrissy@gmail.com, but only once unless you share an updated booster.

How to RSVP for your friends

  1. If you’re on the monthly Facebook invite, you can utilize the “invite” feature on the top right-hand corner of the invite. They are responsible for reaching out to polychrissy@gmail.com with their vaccination cards.
  2. You can have them join the meetup group: https://www.meetup.com/polycocktailsnyc/
  3. We do have an Instagram, but we won’t post details each month directly to the page. We will instead encourage you to RSVP. You’re welcome to follow us for those reminders and to share that handle with your friends – @polycocktails.
  4. Please do not screenshot the Facebook invite, or post details of our event on Discord, your website, Bloom App, OPEN app, or your social media. Please remember that we are a private and free event, and that not everyone is able to be out. Instead, utilize the Facebook invite function, send them to meetup, or tell people one-on-one.

If you don’t have a vaxx card handy, we will accept the following:

  1. Log on to CVS or Walgreens – both carry everyone’s vaxx records and if yours aren’t there, make an appointment and then cancel it. That loads most people’s records.
  2. If you got vaxxed at any major hospital system in the city, like Mt Sinai, Columbia Presbyterian, Health + Hospitals, NYU, or Cornell—you should have access to your my chart which has that info.
  3. You can screenshot whatever you submitted from work or school to prove you were vaxxed.

  5. If you have a social media post of you with the signature bandaid getting your vaxxes, screenshot and send it.
  6. Some still have excelsior passes – we’ll take those too.
